Description

This one to two day, hands on course covers troubleshooting for the AdEdge COM server.  Students will walk through a typical installation, including the communication between the AdEdge COM and the MSP ad splicer.  Server, network, and program configuration and provisioning will be discussed with hands on labs for each section. 

The focus of the course is the troubleshooting of the Ad Edge COM server for ad insertion using the ad cache capabilities of the MSP and the ADM feature of the AdEdge COM.  The discussion and labs will include troubleshooting splicing using virtual zones for targeted ad insertion and dynamic substitution.  The course includes an overview of the troubleshooting tools available for the AdEdge COM and a set of three troubleshooting labs.

The course has a modular design so that students who use some, but not all, of the capabilities of the AdEdge COM server will only work with the features of their particular installation.  The first presentation and lab is common to all product features.  The second day is necessary only if the ad cache, dynamic substitution and targeted ad insertion capabilities are all used.
